we are playing a little no limit hold em tourneys winner takes all

as more people get out we increase the big blinds but how much should we increase theM

with 2 people in and say a total chip count of 3000 chips on the table what should the Big Blinds be?

With 3 people in and a total chip count of 300 chips on the table same question?

4 people?

5 people (say we each start with 600 in chips = 3000 total)

what is the rule of thumb. Id think with the last 2 players the big blinds should be 3% or so of the total chip count (so a big blind of 100, small blind of 50) would be about right but I might be way off on that.

We want there to be some struggle for the blinds but not so much that its just a situation where you have to defend and go all in on the blinds to stay alive for a few hands.

does anyone know anything about how to set up a decent home no limit game and structure the blind structure correctly?

Check with Matt24..I know he used to be in a home tourney.

Do a search here, there was a thread about setting up a tourney a while back.
